It has a very nice graphic approach, however the shadow color doesn't seem realistic, maybe pull in the purples from the bird into it, generally an outdoor shadow is a cool shade or atleast more nuetralized.

Thanks for your comment :), i'm going to have to resubmit the image for the prints side of things anyway so i will give the shadow some treatment as you suggested. and thanks for the welcome to DA.

The bird is absolutely amazing.
But I think you can draw more beautiful grass;) Was it just a part of your idea or you just were lazy?

Lazy I think :), but its hard to make scrubland / dry / drought ridden grass look anything but straw like. It needs work doing on it still I think, probably do something with the boarder, grass and horizon (which i've never really liked), oh and maybe put in a hint of there being another leg cause the more i look at the picture I think it needs it. :)

At least you can make a brush of your own to draw grass:)
